Ozma's love of dance shows in her performances and teaching. She's a dynamic bellydancer with special passion for Turkish Bellydance, dynamic zills (finger cymbals), and Turkish Roman dance.
Ozma (an American) started studying Bellydance in Tokyo, 2002. Soon, falling in love with the dance, she studied under Mishaal, a dancer and instructor of international renown. Ozma continues her dance education by training with master teachers visiting Tokyo, such as Artemis Mourat, Aziza and Karim Nagi, as well as traveling to America, Europe, and Turkey for intensive study from instructors like Reyhan Tuznus, Sema Yildiz and more.
Ozma took up performing professionally in 2004. Her vibrant technique, musicality, and energy have made her an in-demand performer, in Japan and abroad, ever since.
In 2011, with the support of mentors and peers, Ozma ventured into teaching bellydance. She is currently one of the main instructors at Eva Belly Dance Studio (EBDS) and teaches in Chiba and Tokyo prefectures. Her warm personality, depth of knowledge, and background in education make her a great teacher for beginners curious about bellydance as well as intermediate and advanced students. She's a great resource for those interested in learning more about Turkish Oriental Bellydance, Turkish Roma Dance, and zills (finger cymbals). In addition to weekly lessons, Ozma has taught workshops focusing on her areas of speciality in Japan and Germany.
